Refund Policy FAQs Important

1) Scope

This Refund Policy applies to online courses, classroom courses, pre-registrations, course conversions, transfers, and other training products or services provided by Velocity Training Education Solutions, LLC unless a different written refund policy applies to a specific product, platform, contract, or offer. All provisions apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

2) Sites and training channels covered

This policy may apply to eligible Velocity Training purchases made through VelocityTraining.com, the Velocity Training learning portal, PipelineCourses.com, 1169Certified.com, MyPipelineTraining.org, or other Velocity Training-owned training channels when those purchases are issued or fulfilled by Velocity Training Education Solutions, LLC.

3) Excluded safety-course platform

Safety courses hosted through the separate safety-course platform may have separate refund terms and are not governed by this page unless Velocity Training states otherwise in writing.

4) How to request a refund, transfer, hold, or conversion

All requests must be made in writing to Velocity Training. Include your full name, order email, course name, purchase date, requested remedy, and a short explanation. The request date is the date Velocity Training receives the complete written request. Documentation may be required for claimed extenuating circumstances. Support questions may also be submitted through the Velocity Training contact page.

5) Online course refunds

• Because online access is immediate and course materials may be available right away, online course purchases are generally not refundable after access is issued.
• In documented, extreme extenuating circumstances, Velocity Training may place your training on hold and allow a later resume. A $50 administrative fee may apply.
• No refund is available for missed use due to work schedules, travel, vacations, lack of motivation, forgotten access windows, technology issues that are not reported promptly, failure to study, or failure to complete the course.
• If online access expires and you need more time, you may be eligible to re-enroll in the same course type at a discounted rate when available.

6) Classroom course refunds

When you register for a scheduled classroom offering, Velocity Training reserves a seat, plans instructor coverage, provides or may provide pre-class access, and may make venue, instructor, material, or class-size commitments. The following rules apply unless Velocity Training provides a more specific written offer.

If Velocity Training cancels

• If Velocity Training cancels a classroom class, students may choose a refund of the eligible classroom registration amount paid to Velocity Training or transfer to another confirmed class date or location at no additional transfer fee.
• Approved refunds are typically submitted for processing within 7 to 10 business days after confirmation, but bank, card, financing, or processor timelines may vary.
• This subsection applies only when Velocity Training cancels the class. It does not alter the rules for student-initiated cancellations, transfers, no-shows, or course changes.

If the student cancels

• More than 30 days before class, with no protected pre-class study-material access: If Velocity Training receives the complete written cancellation request more than 30 calendar days before the published class start date and no protected pre-class study material has been accessed through the student account, the eligible refund equals the classroom tuition actually paid minus a fixed $195 administrative fee.
• After protected pre-class study materials are accessed: Classroom tuition is non-refundable. No tuition refund will be issued after the student, or anyone using the student's account, opens, views, or downloads any protected pre-class study guide or other substantive pre-class instructional material. This rule applies even when the cancellation request is received more than 30 days before class.
• Within 30 days of class: Classroom tuition is non-refundable, regardless of whether protected pre-class study materials were accessed.
• No-shows: Students who do not provide timely written notice and do not attend are not eligible for a refund or conversion.

What constitutes protected study-material access

• Protected pre-class study materials include course study guides and other substantive instructional resources identified as part of the pre-class training program.
• Opening or viewing a protected resource constitutes access even if it is viewed only briefly, not completed, or not downloaded.
• Administrative resources, including the refund policy, basic class schedule, and contact information, do not by themselves trigger the study-material no-refund rule.
• Velocity Training may use Learning Management System, protected-document viewer, or other platform activity records to determine whether and when protected materials were accessed.

Classroom transfers and earlier refund options

Classroom transfer requests are subject to availability and written approval. Velocity Training selects venues, determines room capacity, and makes instructor and operational commitments based on projected attendance and the confirmed registration roster for each class. A student transfer may leave those commitments and costs unchanged for the original class while also requiring space and resources to be planned for the receiving class.

• Each approved student-initiated transfer to another class date or location incurs a separate $150 administrative transfer fee.
• The $150 administrative transfer fee must be paid before the transfer is completed and is non-refundable once the requested transfer has been processed.
• Each later request to move the registration again is treated as a new transfer request and, if approved, incurs an additional $150 administrative transfer fee.
• A transfer does not erase prior activity, restart the cancellation period, restore refund eligibility, or create a new refund right.
• Access to protected pre-class study materials before or after a transfer makes the classroom tuition non-refundable. This includes access to revised, replacement, or newly issued materials for the transferred class.
• For a transferred registration that remains refund-eligible because no protected study material has been accessed, the 30-day period is measured from the published start date of the transferred class.
• Selecting a transfer, course conversion, or enrollment hold supersedes any earlier refund quotation or cancellation option unless Velocity Training expressly preserves that option in writing.
• Unless a written quotation states a different period, a refund quotation is valid for seven calendar days and only for the remedy described in that quotation.

7) Course conversions

Velocity Training may, at its discretion, offer conversion to an online course of equal value as an alternative resolution. Conversion availability depends on timing, course type, prior access, and the circumstances of the written request. A conversion is not guaranteed, has no cash value, and does not create or restore a right to a refund. Once accepted or used, the conversion supersedes any earlier refund quotation or cancellation option unless Velocity Training expressly states otherwise in writing.

8) Third-party payment and financing providers

Third-party payment providers and financing providers may have separate processing rules, payment schedules, approval criteria, account requirements, late fees, dispute rules, or refund processing timelines. Velocity Training does not control those third-party provider rules.

9) Chargebacks and payment disputes

Opening a chargeback, dispute, or payment reversal without first contacting Velocity Training may result in delayed support, suspended access, or account review. If you believe there is a billing issue, contact Velocity Training in writing so the issue can be reviewed.

10) Refund method

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when possible. A refund cannot exceed the amount Velocity Training actually received for the refundable portion of the purchase. Processing times vary by payment provider, bank, card network, financing provider, or payment processor.

11) Training Guarantee and exam outcomes

The Training Guarantee is separate from this Refund Policy. It provides a training support remedy for eligible API exam prep students under the guarantee terms. It does not provide reimbursement for API exam fees, application fees, travel, missed work, testing fees, certification decisions, or other costs outside the Velocity Training course purchase.

12) Policy updates

Velocity Training may update this policy from time to time. Unless applicable law permits otherwise, the policy presented at enrollment governs that purchase. A later policy may govern a subsequent purchase or a later enrollment change when the updated terms are disclosed and accepted.

13) Relationship to other terms

This policy works together with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, course-specific enrollment terms, written offers, and any applicable Training Guarantee terms. If a course-specific written offer contains more specific terms, those terms control only for the course, purchase, remedy, and acceptance period identified in that offer.
