Do you offer refunds for online courses?

Because online course access is immediate and course materials may be available right away, online course purchases are generally non-refundable after access is issued. In documented, extreme circumstances, Velocity Training may place training on hold and allow a later resume for a $50 administrative fee.

What is the classroom cancellation window?

Classroom registrations are not refundable within 30 days of the published class start date. Earlier cancellation requests may be subject to administrative charges, materials access charges, or other policy terms. In many cases, conversion to an online course of equal value may be available.

If Velocity Training cancels a classroom class, what happens?

If Velocity Training cancels a classroom class, students may choose a refund of the classroom registration paid to Velocity Training or transfer to another confirmed class date or location at no transfer fee. After a student accepts a transfer, refund eligibility is governed by the transferred registration.

Can I switch to an online course instead of receiving a refund?

Often yes. Depending on timing, course type, and whether pre-class materials were issued, Velocity Training may allow conversion to an online course of equal value as an alternative to a refund or cancellation fee.

What if I do not use my online access or forget to attend class?

Unused access, missed study time, work schedule conflicts, vacations, lack of motivation, forgotten access windows, and no-shows generally do not qualify for a refund. Students who need more time may be eligible to re-enroll in the same course type at a discounted rate when available.

How do I request a refund, transfer, hold, or course conversion?

All requests must be made in writing to Velocity Training and should include the student name, order email, course name, purchase date, requested remedy, and explanation. Documentation may be required for extenuating circumstances.

How are approved refunds paid?

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when possible. Processing times depend on the payment provider, bank, card network, or third-party financing provider.

Does the Training Guarantee create a refund right?

No. The Training Guarantee is a training support remedy for eligible API exam prep students. It is not a cash refund, API exam fee reimbursement, travel reimbursement, or certification guarantee.

Are safety-course refunds handled on this page?

No. Safety courses hosted through the separate safety-course platform may have separate refund terms and are not governed by this VelocityTraining.com refund policy unless specifically stated in writing.

1) Scope

This Refund Policy applies to online courses, classroom courses, pre-registrations, course conversions, transfers, and other training products or services provided by Velocity Training Education Solutions, LLC unless a different written refund policy applies to a specific product, platform, contract, or offer.

2) Sites and training channels covered

This policy may apply to eligible Velocity Training purchases made through VelocityTraining.com, the Velocity Training learning portal, PipelineCourses.com, 1169Certified.com, MyPipelineTraining.org, or other Velocity Training-owned training channels when those purchases are issued or fulfilled by Velocity Training Education Solutions, LLC.

3) Excluded safety-course platform

Safety courses hosted through the separate safety-course platform may have separate refund terms and are not governed by this page unless Velocity Training states otherwise in writing.

4) How to request a refund, transfer, hold, or conversion

All requests must be made in writing to Velocity Training. Include your full name, order email, course name, purchase date, requested remedy, and a short explanation. Documentation may be required for extenuating circumstances. Support questions may also be submitted through the Velocity Training contact page.

5) Online course refunds

• Because online access is immediate and course materials may be available right away, online course purchases are generally not refundable after access is issued.
• In documented, extreme extenuating circumstances, Velocity Training may place your training on hold and allow a later resume. A $50 administrative fee may apply.
• No refund is available for missed use due to work schedules, travel, vacations, lack of motivation, forgotten access windows, technology issues that are not reported promptly, failure to study, or failure to complete the course.
• If online access expires and you need more time, you may be eligible to re-enroll in the same course type at a discounted rate when available.

6) Classroom course refunds

When you register for a scheduled classroom offering, Velocity Training reserves a seat, plans instructor coverage, may issue pre-class access, and may make venue or class-size commitments. The following rules apply unless a written offer states otherwise.

If Velocity Training cancels

• If Velocity Training cancels a classroom class, students may choose a refund of the classroom registration paid to Velocity Training or transfer to another confirmed class date or location at no transfer fee.
• Approved refunds are typically submitted for processing within 7 to 10 business days after confirmation, but bank, card, financing, or processor timelines may vary.
• After a student accepts transfer to another class date or location, refund eligibility is governed by the transferred registration.

If you cancel

• Within 30 days of the published class start date: no refund. Velocity Training may offer conversion to an online course when appropriate.
• More than 30 days before the published class start date: refund eligibility may be reduced by administrative charges, materials access charges, issued online access, or other costs already incurred.
• No-shows without timely written notice are not eligible for a refund or conversion.
• Student-initiated transfers to another classroom date or location do not automatically create refund eligibility and may be subject to administrative or materials access charges.

7) Course conversions

Velocity Training may offer conversion to an online course of equal value as an alternative to a refund, cancellation fee, or classroom transfer issue. Conversion options depend on timing, course type, whether materials or pre-class access were already issued, and whether the request is made in writing.

8) Third-party payment and financing providers

Third-party payment providers and financing providers may have separate processing rules, payment schedules, approval criteria, account requirements, late fees, dispute rules, or refund processing timelines. Velocity Training does not control those third-party provider rules.

9) Chargebacks and payment disputes

Opening a chargeback, dispute, or payment reversal without first contacting Velocity Training may result in delayed support, suspended access, or account review. If you believe there is a billing issue, contact Velocity Training in writing so the issue can be reviewed.

10) Refund method

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when possible. Processing times vary by payment provider, bank, card network, financing provider, or payment processor.

11) Training Guarantee and exam outcomes

The Training Guarantee is separate from this Refund Policy. It provides a training support remedy for eligible API exam prep students under the guarantee terms. It does not provide reimbursement for API exam fees, application fees, travel, missed work, testing fees, certification decisions, or other costs outside the Velocity Training course purchase.

12) Policy updates

Velocity Training may update this policy from time to time. The version in effect is the version posted on this page as of the updated date above unless a specific written agreement states otherwise.

13) Relationship to other terms

This policy works together with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, course-specific enrollment terms, written offers, and any applicable Training Guarantee terms. If a course-specific written offer has more specific terms, those terms may control for that course or purchase.
